Complete our "Hostelworld First Click Test" for a chance to win one 40€ Hostelworld voucher to be redeemed against future deposits on payments on the Hostelworld platform.
The following terms and conditions apply:
- This is run by Hostelworld Services Limited with a registered address at One Chamberlain Square, Birmingham, B3 3AX, with a company number 02841908 (“Hostelworld”). Hostelworld is the promoter for the purposes of this prize.
- Entrants must be aged 18 or over and is open to all new and existing customers of Hostelworld, excluding employees of Hostelworld or any of its subsidiary companies, their families, agents or anyone else connected with this competition.
- The submission commences on 30th of September 15:00 GMT and ends on 4th of October 23:59pm GMT (the “Submission Period”), "Hostelworld First Click Test" received outside this Competition Period will not be entered for a chance to win the voucher.
- Entrants must complete and submit the "Hostelworld First Click Test" during the Submission Period to be entered with a chance to win one
- 40€ Hostelworld vouchers (the “Prize”)
- The Prize will be valid for a six (6) month period following the date of issue.

- By completing the "Hostelworld First Click Test", entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions regarding the Prize awarded.
- There will be one prize winner selected by Hostelworld.
- No third party entries, bulk entries or entries submitted by agents will be accepted. Hostelworld reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants. Hostelworld may require such information as it considers reasonably necessary for the purpose of verifying the eligibility of an entry and a Prize may be withheld until and unless Hostelworld is satisfied with the verification.
- Each entrant is required to fully and correctly complete the "Hostelworld First Click Test". In entering the competition, the entrant does so at his/her own risk and on his/her own initiative, and is responsible for complying with local laws, to the extent any local laws apply.
- Only completion of one "Hostelworld First Click Test" per person is allowed. Entries not complying with these terms and conditions will be invalid.
- One winner will be selected from all eligible entries at random by Hostelworld and emailed on 6th of October 2025.
- To avail of the Prize, the winner must have a Hostelworld account as the Prize will be added to their account. If the winner does not have a Hostelworld account, they will need to create a Hostelworld account to claim the prize.
- In the event that a winner fails to create a Hostelworld account to claim the Prize, chooses not to accept the Prize, is ineligible for the Competition or fails to duly complete, execute and return any document required by Hostelworld or any associated entity, he/she shall be disqualified and such Prize shall be deemed as unclaimed or unaccepted and another entrant may be awarded that Prize at Hostelworld's discretion.
- Hostelworld shall not be responsible for any inability of the winner to take up or claim the Prize, including but not limited to any incorrect details provided by an entrant and or a winner and any technical difficulties experienced in the allocation and or uptake of the Prize.
- Hostelworld reserves the right to provide a substitute Prize of similar value should the Prize become unavailable for whatever reason, however Hostelworld shall not be obliged to substitute Prize and may do so at its sole discretion. Cash or credit alternatives may be offered at Hostelworld’s sole and exclusive discretion.
- Hostelworld accepts no responsibility for incorrectly completed, incomplete, lost or delayed entries, notices, acceptances, or other documents related to the Prize.
- The Prize shall be issued in the currency stated, Hostelworld shall bear no responsibility for any exchange rate differences incurred by the winners in connection with the Prize.
- In the event of fraud, abuse, and/or an error affecting the proper operation of this initiative and/or the "Hostelworld First Click Test", Hostelworld reserves the right to: end or suspend the initiative; amend these terms & conditions; declare void the notification of the winner; and/or to allocate the Prize by to a winner by alternate means.
- If any part of these provisions is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be illegal or unenforceable, the validity or enforceability of the remainder of these provisions shall not be affected and such provision shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make such provision consistent with applicable law and, in its modified form, such provision shall then be enforceable and enforced.
- By entering the "Hostelworld First Click Test" Competition, in the event the entrant is a winner, he/she agrees to allow Hostelworld to use their name, nationality and country of residence to be displayed as a winner on the Hostelworld.com website and to participate in such promotional activity as is reasonably requested by Hostelworld, such as providing Hostelworld with content for the Hostelworld.com website, blog, e-newsletters, and social media channels for further marketing purposes following the competition.
- Entrants’ personal data will be collected, stored and processed for the purposes of administering and assessing this initiative. Personal data supplied during the course of this competition will only be processed as set out in the Hostelworld "Hostelworld First Click Test" Competition Privacy Notice below.
- Hostelworld’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Hostelworld reserves the right to suspend, cancel or amend the initiative and/or review and revise these terms and conditions at any time without giving prior notice and by continuing to take part subsequent to any revision of these terms and conditions, entrants shall be deemed to have agreed to any such new or amended terms.
- These terms and conditions will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the UK and entrants hereby agrees that for the benefit of Hostelworld and without prejudice to the right of Hostelworld to take proceedings before any other court of competent jurisdiction, that the UK courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction to hear and determine any suit, action or proceedings that might arise out of or in connection with these terms and conditions and for such purposes entrant irrevocably submits to the jurisdiction of such courts.

Hostelworld Services Limited, One Chamberlain Square, Birmingham, B3 3AX, with a company number 02841908 (“Hostelworld”) collects and processes personal information relating to you in connection with the “Hostelworld First Click Test” and associated prize draw. We do this in compliance with our obligations under applicable data protection law. This notice explains what personal data relating to you is collected, the purposes for which it is used, the third parties to whom it may be disclosed and how you can exercise your rights in relation to your personal data. This notice should be read in conjunction with the terms and conditions of the "Hostelworld First Click Test".
Personal Data Collected
Entrants
If you are an entrant, the types of personal data relating to you that we collect and process are:
- your name, surname, email address; and
- if you are declared to be the winner of the competition in accordance with the terms and conditions of the competition, Hostelworld will need to process details related to your Hostelworld account to allocate the 40€ Hostelworld voucher.
Purposes of Processing and Legal Bases
Your name and email address will be used for the purposes of carrying out the prize draw. The legal basis for this processing is that it is necessary for the performance of our contract with you.
If you are declared to be the winner of the competition your name, surname, and email address will be used for the purposes of arranging the prize. The legal basis for this processing is that it is necessary for the performance of our contract with you.
If you are declared to be the winner of the prize, your name, country of residence and other content such as pictures, social media stories, and videos, may be uploaded to our website and social media sites including our blog, or may be used for our e-newsletter. The legal bases for this processing are that it is in our legitimate interests to carry on marketing activities.
Recipients of Data
We may disclose your personal data to third party recipients in connection with the above purposes, including:
- to a third party software provider to assist with the running of the prize draw
- to social media service providers and other IT service providers;
- to competent regulatory authorities and bodies as requested or required by law; and
- to other members of our corporate group.
Retention
We will only retain your personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected or to comply with legal, regulatory or internal policy requirements and, if relevant, to deal with any claim or dispute that might arise in connection with your contract. In particular, names and email addresses of entrants who are not a winner of the prize draw shall be deleted two weeks following notification to the prize winner that they have won the prize.
Transfers Abroad
In connection with the above, we may transfer your personal data outside the European Economic Area, including to a jurisdiction which is not recognised by the European Commission as providing for an equivalent level of protection for personal data as is provided for in the European Union. If and to the extent that we do so, we will ensure that appropriate measures are in place to comply with our obligations under applicable law governing such transfers, which may include entering into a contract governing the transfer which contains the ‘standard contractual clauses’ approved for this purpose by the European Commission.
